I’m Wayne Keen, and for more than 25 years I’ve dedicated my life to working in education. Throughout that time, I’ve had the privilege of helping students, families, and schools succeed, and I’ve seen firsthand both the challenges and opportunities our communities face.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats in service to education. I’ve coached middle school sports, where I learned the value of teamwork, encouragement, and resilience. I’ve also served as a local teachers’ union representative, where I worked to advocate for my colleagues while finding common ground with administrators. These experiences have helped me understand all sides of an issue and taught me how to find solutions that work for as many stakeholders as possible.
That same belief guides me today as your candidate for Illinois’ 54th District. I am running for office because I know how frustrating it is when government doesn’t listen to the people it serves. My goal has always been simple: to bring common-sense leadership, to advocate for families and seniors, and to ensure that every voice in our community has a place at the table.
I am committed to serving the people of District 54 as the Republican candidate. I'll work tirelessly to put our conservative principles into action, fighting for lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and a government that works for us, not against us. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Illinois for everyone.
